Melbourne’s Architectural Details – deco window
In Melbourne in April 2007, I was struck by the beauty of the architectural details throughout the city. Melbourne has preserved much more of its 19th and early 20th century history than Sydney. Art Nouveau, Deco, High Victorian Gothic styles abound in splendour. Here are some highlights of walking around the city.
Decorative scrolls
Another lovely Melbourne feature is all the decorative scrolls in ironwork – I particularly like the way that security is turned into a feature on the glass door here.
The Designing Environment
After watching a designer working in his English manor garden. I have to admit am a little bit jealous of having such a great environment.
